Legend
The legend shows the types of strikes detected and how they are
represented on the screen.

Storm Icon
This icon shows that there is a storm in the area. Zoom into the
icon,
and the icon will be replaced with the actual strokes |

Most Recent Strike
This icon marks the most recent strike detected by the system
|

Sensor Status Up
This icon marks where the lightning sensor is and that its current
state is up. Meaning the sensor is operating as it should and is
taking part in lightning detection.

Sensor Status Down
This icon marks where the lightning sensor is and that its current
state is down. Meaning the sensor is not operating as it should
and is
not taking part in lightning detection.

Sensor Status Unknown
This icon marks where the lightning sensor is and that its current
state is unknown. Meaning the sensor is curently in a mode where
the state is not helpful in detecting lightning, but the sensor may
switch back to up mode.

Alarm Region
This icon marks where a current alarm region is triggered. The
alarm region icon will be over the entire area that makes up the alarm.

Error Ellipse
This icon marks the error ellipse. When you zoom down close
enough to a strikle, the error ellipse will be plotted. The error
ellipse indicates the error invloved in calculating where the lightning
strike occured. The ellipse shows that the strike could have
happened anywhere within the boundries of the ellipse.

means that the system was unable to talk to the feed that supplies the
lightning data. This could occur for serval reasons:
- System is down for maintence
- Network Connection Problem (wires,
firewall, IP's)
- Too many users on the system
- System ran into an error and needs to be
reset
